Universal Code of Conduct To Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport

Athletes

All athletes deserve a safe environment in which to play.

Coaches

All coaches are required to take a mandatory Safe Sport module before the OVA will grant them membership.

Parents

Parents have conversations with their athletes about acceptable and unacceptable interactions with others, including adults and persons in authority such as coaches. Encourage them to be open with you when there is conduct that they are unsure of or that makes them feel unsafe.
